Christmas Cards #1

I mentioned in an earlier blog how cards kind of evolve until I end up with the card I really like, an example was my Halloween card.  I am working on a Christmas card currently and I am making progress but I am not quite there yet.  So, here are some “trials” and you can wait and see what I finally come up with (let me know which one you like the best).  The first card has a background done with Tim Holtz Distress Inks – Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries & Fired Brick.  The tree is the Swirl Tree stencil by Hero Arts and the ornaments are Viva Glass Effect Gel in carmine.  I used Ranger Texture Paste for the tree and added some crystal rainbow transparent glitter to it.  I like the background but I am not happy with the bleed through of the ink.  The ornaments kind of get lost too, but like I said, this is a trial…

I started making cards in the 90's and have recently started creating again. It has been exciting to catch up on all the new techniques and tools that are now available! I also enjoy cross-stitching and any creative endeavor. I live in Carmichael, CA which is a suburb of Sacramento.
