Simon Says Monday Challenge “Trio-Tastic”

I made cards for a client this weekend that wanted to go with a color scheme of red, black and silver.  Apparently her niece is decorating in those colors this year and she decided to surprise her with matching cards.  The embossing folder is by Taylor Expressions and the dies are from Simon Says Stamp.  I die cut all 3 trees actually in 6 different papers – 2 of each color.  I tried foil and glitter papers and also just plain black paper.  My favorites were the foil red and the silver and black (actually more of a dark charcoal) glitter papers.  I mixed and matched them and used foam tape on the center tree to give it some dimension.  Then the whole panel was attached to the card with foam tape for even more dimension.

Simon Says Monday Challenge “Shine Bright Like A Diamond” #4 & Hero Arts Holiday Challenge

I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean & Chipped Sapphire for the background.  The tree is a stencil by Hero Arts and I used embossing paste with light blue glitter added to it.  I also mixed Radiant Pearls with water and tapped some drops on to the background.

Simon Says Monday Challenge “Shine Bright Like A Diamond”

I was busy getting ready for Christmas this weekend.  I have a LOT of cards to make and need to get with it!  The die on this card is by Simon Says Stamp and the embossing folder is by Taylor Expressions.  I used the die on Neenah White paper and traced a circle die and cut out the glitter paper (all my circle dies were to big or too small but the outline of one was almost perfect).  I glued the die cut on with Ranger Multi Medium Matte onto the glitter paper and used foam tape to attach it and the embossed layer.  I used metallic floss and attached it to the top of the ornament and adhered it to the back.

Silver Merry Christmas
