Happy Easter Everyone!

I finally completed our Easter cards and ended up doing them in several different colors.  It is interesting how an idea for a card starts and evolves into a completed card.  I originally was going with the blended colored background but it took away from the die cut.  In the end just using an embossing folder and solid color card worked the best.  Enjoy, I hope you all have a Happy Easter with your families this weekend!

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge “Cute & Cuddly”

I worked on a couple “extra special” Easter cards for the girls this weekend.  This one has a deer and a bunny.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Tumbled Glass for the sky and Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron for the lawn.  The stamps are by Stampin’ Up.  The hill die is by Simon Says Stamp and the envelope die is by Waffle Flower.  There is a special message for each girl in the little envelope.  I also added Crystal Effects to the tree and animals.  I used a white gel pen to add some spots on the fawn and a fine black marker to add some grass under the animals.

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge “A Bit O’ Green”

We are getting ready for Easter but this card has a “bit o’ green” on it so close enough!  The embossing folder is by Stampin’ Up and the die is the Kensington border by Memory Box.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade for the back ground.  The word stamp is by Hero Arts.
