Simon Says Challenge “Make it Colorful” #2

I started out with the Hero Arts Cubic Background Stencil.  I didn’t really have a plan other than making something colorful.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, Shabby Shutters and Salty Ocean.  I just masked off certain areas and stamped on the color.  When I was done I stamped the whole thing with a Versamark pad and added clear embossing powder & heat set it.  After all that work I didn’t have the heart to cut the piece down so I decided to make a large card.  The word stamp is by Annette Allen Watkins.  I inked it in 3 of the colors I had used on the stencil.  I added some silver metallic paper behind the words and that was it!

Hero Arts & Simon Says Challenges

I just got this new stamp set in from Hero Arts and had to use it!  I am using an old technique with color blending Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Chipped Sapphire and Seedless Preserves that I have done before but with the new stamps (I used a different space ship before)!  After doing the ink blending I mixed Radiant Pearls with water and flicked them on the surface,  I used Ranger silver embossing powder on the ship, words and stars.  I colored the ship with Prismacolor markers and used clear Wink of Stella and finally Crystal Effects on it.  I fussy cutout the ship and used a Krylon silver marker around the edges.  I attached it with foam tape for dimension.
