Simon Says Monday Challenge “Anything Goes!”

I have been busy making thank you cards this week.  I have plenty of people to thank for all the gifts I received for my birthday!  I used the Lawn Fawn “thanks” die for this card.  My Big Shot got a workout on these!  I make it in 5 colors and I will post 3 of the colors on my blog (I forgot to take photos before I sent the others off).

Simon Says Monday Challenge “O”

“O” in this case is for the Simon Says October Card Kit.  There are so many options to what you can make with these kits.  This is a card I made recently.  I colored the cups with Prismacolor markers and used the cardstock and background paper from the kit.  I also used the sequins and of course the stamps are from the kit.  I added some Ranger Enamel Accents to the eyes and some Stampin’ Up Crystal Effects to the tongue.

Last weekend…

Last weekend was kind of a complete incomplete projects and play with new “stuff” weekend.  I finished up the Halloween cards that I had been working on, all 44 of them!  I finally had a chance to make the Halloween tags in my Paper Pumpkin kit and get them ready for Halloween.  I played with the stamp set that came with my Simon Says October Card Kit and made a cute card.  It still needs some work but it is getting there.  The big event was that I finally took our new Sizzix Big Shot out of the box and played with it!  We don’t have a lot of dies and embossing folders yet but it was fun to get started.

I tried out both of the embossing folders that we have, swirls & chevrons.  I used the die from the Simon Says kit and made a few coffee cups.  Then tried out my “thanks” and Christmas frame die that we bought.  I haven’t made any cards with them yet but ideas are whirling around in my head.  So many ideas, so little time!  Time to create some more!

Simon Says Wednesday Challenge “Transport It” #3

This was very similar to the flying saucer card that I did previously.  I just sponged the clouds with a cloud stencil.  The helicopter and “zoom” stamps are from Stampin’ Up along with the stencil that I used.  I added some Ranger Enamel Effects to the helicopter wheels and blades.  I used a Versamark pad to stamp the helicopter and then embossed it with red embossing powder.
